Las Vegas Stratosphere to Be Sold

The Las Vegas Stratosphere is set to be sold. Reportedly, it will sell for some $1.3 billion. The history of the Las Vegas casino is interesting. The project was not highly favored when it was developed and during construction there were some major issues. A man named Carl Ichan saw the investment opportunity and made the purchase. It is anticipated that the project will net his company around $1 billion. What an investment!

Other resort projects and developments are in progress and others are in planning stages.

The Las Vegas Population at 1.9 million

Reportedly, the population of the Las Vegas area is at 1.9 million residents. That's up 5.3% in the last year. Clark County added some 97,000 people averaging around 8,000 new residents per month.

It is anticipated that the population will continue to grow at similar rates. What does that mean for real estate in Las Vegas? Well, the city needs somewhere to put them. Whether they buy a house themselves or lease from an investor home sales will continue in strength.
